In early August 2003 animal rights extremists outraged chefs around the country by vandalizing the business and private property of a highly respected San Francisco chef in an attempt to interfere with his planned Sonoma foie gras store and restaurant, Sonoma Saveurs, further threatening his family and future employees. A nationwide group of food and beverage professionals determined to use their wit and creativity in a tongue in cheek argument for civil rights.
