Pricing

There are a lot of variables that go into figuring out what it’s going to cost to make custom T-shirts, hats, etc.... This guide will give you a way to estimate your costs and define your project. Please keep in mind that these estimates are not always exact. We will need to review your project with you to determine the exact price, but at least you will know which questions we’re going to ask when you call.

4. How many colors do you want to print on the front?
5. How many color do you want to print on the back and sleeves?
6. What format is your artwork in?

Custom T-shirt Price Examples:
T-shirt prices are broken into the following components:

• Set-up (or screen) costs
  
• Per shirt costs

Set-up costs depend on the number of colors you want to print in each part of the design. A different screen is needed to print each color in each place, so the more colors, the more it costs. Creative Origins charges $40 for standard sized screens (4" – 11"), $25 for small screens (<4"), and $50 for large screens (>11"). You only pay the set-up costs once.

Per shirt prices depend on quantity, type & color of shirt, & number of prints and colors. Here are a couple of examples to get you in the ball park:

Example-1

50 Black T-shirts – 100% preshrunk cotton, with a 2 color print on the front,left chest (small print) and a 1 color (large) print on the back.
Price: $7.50/shirt
Set-up charge: $120 ($40 per screen)
This comes out to $9.90 per shirt + sales tax

100 white T-shirts – 100% preshrunk cotton with a 1 color (large) print on the front
Price: $4.75/shirt
Set-up charge: No charge (when you order 100 shirts, we’ll give you a screen for free)
This comes out to $4.75 per shirt + sales tax

Per shirt prices for basic white T-shirts with a one color print are:

Heat Transferred T-shirts:
If you are looking to get a single shirt, or very few shirts with a color image on them, then "Heat Transferred" shirts are a great alternative because they don’t have the screen set-up charges, and you can print full color just as easily as simple text. The disadvantages of Heat Transfer shirts are:

1. It only works on white or light color shirts
2. The image will fade a little the first time you wash it
3. The shirt cannot be washed with any bleach or the image will be destroyed

Vinyl Sticker Pricing:
Vinyl stickers are priced based on the size, quantity, and number of colors in the design. Sitcker prices can be broken into the following components:

• Screen set-up
  
• Per sheet
  
• Cutting
  

Screen set-up: The screen set-up charge for stickers is $40 per color. Screen fees do not recur when you order a 2nd batch of stickers.

Per sheet charges depend on how many 12 x 18 sheets are required to complete a run. For example, we can fit 6 stickers on a 3" x 12" format, or 12 stickers on a 4" x 4" format. So, in these cases it would require 167 sheets, and 84 sheets respectively.

Cutting: Cutting charges are applied per batch, and the smaller the sticker, the more the cutting charge. Straight line cutting charges for white vinyl will vary from $30 (large stickers) to $80 (small stickers).

Example:

Quantity 1000, 4" x 4", 1 color white vinyl stickers
Set-up: $40 (1 color)
Per sheet: 84 sheets at $3.75/sheet
Cutting: $30
This comes out to $385 + tax, or 38.5 cents per sticker

Headwear Pricing:
Headwear pricing varies quite a bit depending on the image you want embroidered on the hat, and the specific hat. The best thing to do is email or fax a copy of your artwork and let us work up a quote.

Fleece Pricing:
Fleece pricing depends heavily on the garment chosen. Some brands and styles cost a lot more than others; however, we’ll give you a pricing sample of one of San Francisco’s most popular choice here:

Example: 50 Black Lee Hooded Sweatshirts (9.3oz 50/50), with a 1 color chest print:
Set-up: $40 (1 color)
Per shirt: $17.50
This comes out to $915 + tax, or $18.30 per hooded sweatshirt.

Magnet Pricing:
When we do car magnets, we have a minimum of four pieces, and we roll the screen charges into the price of the magnets (call us for a quote if you need more than 6 car magnets):
